Event proposals that win 80% of the time now. Here's what changed.

Event planning is a competitive market. Clients get multiple proposals. The proposal itself is part of how they evaluate whether you can actually deliver. My proposals used to be comprehensive but bland. Timeline, inclusions, pricing. Correct but not compelling. I started using AI to improve the emotional narrative in proposals. The bit at the start that talks about the client's vision and why this event matters. That's the bit people actually read before they look at the pricing. What I do: after the initial client conversation, I type up my notes on what they said about the event, what it means to them, what they're worried about. Then I ask Claude to help me write an opening section that reflects their vision back to them in compelling language. When a client reads an opening that articulates exactly what they were trying to say — better than they said it — they feel understood. And they want to work with someone who gets them. Proposal win rate went from around 50% to around 80% over the year I've been doing this. Can't attribute all of that to AI but the proposals are meaningfully better.
